Had my first 1 to 1 training session today with Alex and Freya, they were both lovely very helpful and showed a lot of knowledge about my dog, i learned a lot from them, my dog loved them as well. I feel very confident and looking forward to our next session here! Amazing service!

The two photos attached to this review would have been unimaginable three months ago before we started our 1-2-1 training with Andrew.
We have been struggling with our dog’s reactivity to other dogs and sometimes humans, in particular cyclists and runners, since adopting him.
We have tried training with two previous trainers before Andrew and had little success.
We spent the last twelve weeks with Andrew following his guidance and training, which focused on us learning to be better dog owners and engaging with the dog. Andrew was patient and very clear with the training including the needs of the dog. While it hasn’t been easy it has been incredibly rewarding. No longer do we need to wake up at the crack of dawn to walk the dog or have to be on the constant look out for other dogs. Walking the dog has now become an enjoyable experience and we have both become a lot more confident dog owners.
We know our training doesn’t stop here and we ourselves have to carry the baton, but we are happy the future is bright thanks to Andrew and his training.

These are the most common issues owners face and we are here to help utilising modern dog training methods through operant and classical conditioning.
Owners can learn in individually tailored one to one lessons at Woodborough Kennels. There is no quick fix to training and students should expect to require more than one lesson. We train the owners who then learn the skills to train their own dogs.
First step is to book a two hour consultation (£70) where we get a baseline on your needs and develop a training plan. Follow on lesson are £35 per hour one to one with discount for booking 6 weeks of lessons.
Some owners may struggle with training their own dogs so we offer residential training at a minimum of three weeks
(£1500) after an initial 2 hour consultation.
2026 has started well with Alex decoying for Avon & Somerset Police at the South West Regional Police Trials.
2025 was a great year for students and trainers.
Andrew & Orca received a Mondio Cat 1 title on his German Shepherd, a UK first.
Alex qualified as a PSA and Mondio decoy, the Uk's only dual discipline certified decoy.
Woodborough held numerous seminars including several for local Police Forces.
In 2018 our trainers represented Great Britain abroad in dog sport world championships and dogs raised here have gone on to be champions - PD Ash ( Vonlisand Aslan) 2019 Police Champion aged just 2 years old.
Andrew was inspected by ex Home Office instructors and granted Level 3 Trainers status in 2013 which he has re-certified in for the last 13 years.
With ongoing professional development Andrew and the rest of the training staff regularly attend seminars and workshops as well as competing in a variety of disciplines.
